Ephemera is a
general term for old paper. Examples of
Great Lakes maritime ephemera include early bills of lading, customs house
manifests and documents, early letters and manuscripts, early cruise brochures,
documents and correspondence from shipping companies, insurance reports, court
documents, scrapbooks and early illustrated newspapers.
